MARCO ESPINOZA

Job Captain

After graduating high school, Marco Espinoza enrolled at Cal State San Marcos and spent two years as a math major. During that time, he developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, but ultimately realized his true passion lay in design and the built environment. Marco made the decision to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona, where he was accepted into their competitive 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program. The program was challenging creatively and technically, deepening the understanding of architectural theory, sustainability, and construction methods.

While pursuing his degree, he also gained hands-on industry experience. Completing four months in construction management, focusing on industrial warehouse developments. This role gave insight into project coordination, budgeting, and on-site problem solving. Also working for two years in an architectural firm that specialized in industrial storage and warehouse facilities. This experience strengthened his skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and project planning, and gave him a practical understanding of zoning, code compliance, and client collaboration.

Graduating from Cal Poly Pomona’s rigorous B.Arch program, combined with the real-world experience, has given him a strong foundation to contribute meaningfully to industrial and commercial architecture.
