Vail Elementary School
The project encompassed the demolition of two classroom buildings and the complete renovation of an existing CR building and a multi-purpose building, which included the installation of new flooring, roofing, HVAC, interior finishes, and ceilings.
The site underwent a redesign that included an upgrade to the drainage system, the addition of a new bus-drop loop, and the incorporation of new features such as a media center/maker space building, a 2-story classroom building with an outdoor collaboration space, and outdoor play courts/playground equipment. The removal of existing relocatables, construction of a new field restroom building, and a four-classroom BASES building.
BASES building consisted of customized interiors, adapted to the site, and with district-requested enhancements coordinated with the manufacturer, were also part of the project. The scope of the project significantly expanded.
